Karen MacInnes is a Scottish visual artist based in the East Midlands. She studied Fine Art at Staffordshire University and graduated from the Master of Fine Art course at the Glasgow School of Art.  Her practice includes painting, drawing, printmaking and photography.

The colours, shapes, forms and textures that co-exist within the language of her practice, are not only those that she is drawn towards and finds compelling, but are particular in terms of location.  In essence, her work is a response to a place and is concerned with the acts of remembering, of moving through a place and the passing of time.
